LocalConstruct was founded in 2008 with a determination to leverage urban dynamics, design, and building technology to improve the quality of the built environment. We are a fully integrated real estate development and management platform that operates across the Western United States. LocalConstruct has developed, acquired, and entitled a portfolio of over 2,500 housing units in addition to numerous commercial and mixed-use properties.

Casey is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of LocalConstruct including acquisitions, financing, and development. He has acquired and developed a multi-family portfolio of over 2,500 units exceeding $350mm in value since co-founding the company in 2008. Casey is deeply involved in all aspects of deal sourcing, deal structuring, and development programming. His focus is on infill housing strategies and his work has been featured in Fast Company, Architectural Record, and Fox News, among others.
Prior to founding LocalConstruct, Casey worked in resort development with Auberge Resorts and began his career in finance and management consulting in New York. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children. Casey holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from UCLA.
Mike oversees development and entitlemtent activities for LocalConstruct. Since co-founding the company in 2008 he has been involved in the entitlement and development of over 2,500 apartments and homes across 4 states. Mike’s experience includes adaptive reuse, complex infill land entitlements, and value-added repositioning of existing assets. He is a frequent speaker on housing trends and has been an active member of the Urban Land Institute since 2007.
Prior to LocalConstruct, Mike worked on large scale mixed-use development with The Ratkovich Company in Los Angeles. He began his career managing site work operations for G.E. Johnson Construction Company in Colorado. Mike holds a BA from Colorado College and an MBA from UCLA.
Kris is responsible for all aspects of finance, tax, and accounting at LocalConstruct. Prior to joining LocalConstruct, Kris was the Director of Corporate Finance at Kennedy Wilson, a publicly traded global real estate investment company. Earlier in his career Kris held finance roles at Thomas Properties Group and was a financial auditor with Ernst & Young LLP. Kris grew up in Kuwait. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems, and a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Arizona.
John is responsible for sourcing and underwriting new acquisitions. He also oversees all asset management on behalf of LocalConstruct and its partners including reporting, third party oversight, and capital improvement projects. Previously, John managed the underwriting of a 20,000 unit multifamily portfolio as well as the repositioning of over 4,000 apartments on behalf of institutional investors. Most recently, John worked for Colony Capital where he negotiated distressed debt resolutions in their loan workout group. John grew up in Santa Barbara, CA and is a graduate of Dartmouth College. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and son where they enjoy exploring the Eastside's gastronomic offerings.
Katie is responsible for development projects and the evaluation of new development opportunities for LocalConstruct. She oversees all design, engineering, permitting and entitlement activities across the LocalConstruct portfolio. Previously, she spent seven years at Kimley-Horn and Associates where she led a team of civil engineers through the design and construction of commercial, residential, and mixed use developments in South Florida. Katie received her MBA from Columbia Business School and her BS in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Patrick manages new construction and capital improvement projects for LocalConstruct across the Western United States. He is a licensed construction manager in the State of Idaho and a LEED Green Associate. Prior to LocalConstruct, Patrick was a Project Engineer with Andersen Construction managing numerous construction projects throughout Idaho and California. Patrick received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Boise State University. He resides in Boise, ID with his wife Cydney and golden retriever Lola.
Carmina is responsible for the management and administration of all areas of accounting, tax and finance at LocalConstruct. Her role includes oversight of tax preparation, benefits administration, financial reporting, and A/P & A/R. Prior to joining Local Construct, Carmina was a Senior Accountant for LA-based real estate operators including Watt Properties and Primestor Development, Inc. She has more than 20 years of accounting experience in the Hospitality and Real Estate industries. Carmina is originally from the Philippines. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and her MBA at De La Salle University in the Philippines.
Josh manages LocalConstruct’s Los Angeles commercial and multi-family portfolio. He oversees all aspects of property management including accounting, leasing & marketing, and capital improvement projects. Prior to joining LocalConstruct, he managed a single-family portfolio in the Los Angeles area. Josh obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Irvine in Economics and Political Science.
Aislinn is a Regional Property Manager for LC Communities, overseeing the operations of our multifamily and mixed-use properties in the Mountain Region. Her portfolio responsibilities include assets under construction, lease-ups, acquisitions and property renovations. In addition, she trains LC Communities' team members, implements quality control and ensures superior customer service is provided to all of our valued residents.
Aislinn has over 13 years of experience in multi-family property operations and business development. Prior to joining the LocalConstruct team, Aislinn oversaw operations for 1,200 apartment units in San Diego for R&V Management. Since joining the team, she has relocated to the beautiful Boise area.
Karen supports the Corporate Controller in all areas of accounting and office administration at LocalConstruct. Her responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, credit card and bank accounts reconciliation. She also assists the property management and asset management teams. Karen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas, in Manila, Philippines.
Chichi assists in all aspects of accounting at LocalConstruct. Her tasks include: accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card and bank account reconciliation and paper and electronic filing. Before joining LocalConstruct, she worked for a real estate/property management company supporting two CEOs with leases, loans, accounting tasks and managing general office functions. Chichi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the Philippines.
Francine assists in the management of LocalConstruct’s Los Angeles commercial & multi-family portfolio. She facilitates a variety of property management tasks which include: tenant relations, leasing & marketing, accounting, & capital improvement projects. Francine previously worked in the events industry with years of experience in charity galas, non-profit walk and bike campaigns, weddings, and conferences. Francine graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology.
